Vorden castle – The Netherlands

with No Comments

 Castle of Vorden.

The first written account of this castle was in 1315. The current building was built on the old ruins of this castle. During the 80-years-war (or war of independence) between Spain and the Netherlands this castle was looted, though afterwards restored. In 1974 the latest restoration took place after years of neglect. The castle is now used as a wedding location and a museum.

We also have a blog. One of my favorite reads is this story about the Flying Doctors.

A hommage to the RFDS (Royal Flying Doctors Services) in Australia and a travel story about Broken Hill and Silverton. How Australian tv has inspired me.

On our blog you can read about our stories of Australia.
