Mâcon, city with a strange idea of restoration – France

with No Comments

Mâcon.

In every Lonely Planet or other travel guide you’ll find Mâcon as ‘the place to be’. I do not know if they ever really visited this town. We found a city with old buildings that where no longer maintained. The area’s they did  renovate, became worse, because they replaced the green with parking lots. It did not matter that some of them had historical value.

We only visited this town for a hour of two and then decided to find a nicer place to spend our time. However, the photos don’t look too bad.
