Drenthe.

During the Stone and Iron Ages a civilization created burial chambers using big megaliths that came to our country with the glaciers. One stone alone can weigh a few tons. These days you can find most of these ‘hunnebedden’ in Drenthe.

It was there that I wanted to ask my wife to marry me. I planned it carefully during a bike ride through the country side. In my head it was a romantic scenery. However, in reality we were cycling through a storm and the wind almost blew us away. I had to ask her in the hotel instead.
