Brno.

In Medieval times this city was in the hands of many rulers. Near the town of Brno Napoleon defeated the Austrian forces at the Battle of Austerlitz. Brno had a large German speaking population, up to two thirds of its inhabitants. After World War II, the last remaining German speaking people where expelled in death marches towards Austria.
