Marktplatz.
Near the City Hall of Bonn you will find a market place. When we visited Bonn, there were a few food stalls in the middle of this 11th century old square. It made the place more lively. Looking at the many people visiting this place it was clear that this was the place to be.
Although this market place is medieval, they built the City Hall in 1737 in Roccoco style. However, here you can also see several older buildings from various time periods.
There are also several shops surrounding the market place. Our favorite one was an old movie theatre, which they transformed into a bookshop. It’s called the Metropol. We first ate an ice cream in a shop on the other side of the market place and then looked around in the Metropol.
