Stadtburg
Andernach is a small city near Koblenz. You should visit Andernach if you like medieval walls and castles. Almost the complete city is surrounded by a city wall. The defences in the south of the city are dominated by the Stadtburg. This former castle was build in 1200 and destroyed by the French in 1689 during the 9-year -war.
